Polished Concrete Specialists created the lower downstairs and steps coming from the entrance of the main door in an impressive new build house in East Sussex.
We laid the floor and stairs with Ideal Work Microtopping, microcement in colour 56 charcoal.
This project was completed in a four day process.
Day One
10mm levelling compound ensuring floor reached the heights of the shadow gap and the bottom of the walls.
Day Two
Base coat of microcement, the usual first layer of Microtopping. A larger aggregate than other coats to help add strength. This helped us coat the steps and give a good edge to be able to sand and form the perfect streamline steps you see in the pictures.
Day Three and Four
Sanding, laying other coats, High Performance (HP) and finish coat, before sealing.
The client was delighted with the final look
